The client

District Loom is a luxury rug company specializing in curating vintage rugs. In addition to their own e-commerce and brick-and-mortar store, they have an in-store and online partnerships with Anthropologie which features a seasonal drop as well as partnerships with a variety of other high-end interior designers.

The Impact

With District Loom we were able to grow our newsletter base from 2,000 to over 5,000 in six months, achieving a 32% email open rate and a 19% CTR. I also managed a text marketing campaign with a 34% CTR. My responsibilities included managing weekly newsletters and SMS for rug drops, creating automated email funnels, Pinterest paid ads and content, and consulting on social media. This strategy increased customer engagement and strengthened District Loom's online presence.

Spectrum Labs (recently acquired by ActiveFence) is a technology company at the forefront of AI-driven content moderation, specializing in creating safer online environments. They provide cutting-edge solutions for data analysis and trust & safety, helping platforms identify and manage harmful content effectively. By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence, Spectrum Labs plays a crucial role in enhancing user experience and promoting online community health across various digital platforms.

The Impact

As the Marketing Manager at Spectrum Labs, my role spanned a variety of initiatives, including managing newsletters, email funnel campaigns, social media, SEO management, blog writing, webinar development and execution, and video content management. A significant aspect of my position involved developing an in-depth understanding of content moderation, AI, data, and trust & safety. This knowledge was essential for accurately representing our brand and services, and it informed all aspects of my marketing strategy. My creative approach to social media content and community initiatives led to a 25% increase in brand visibility and a 45% surge in engagement within my first quarter. I launched a successful LinkedIn newsletter that quickly attracted over 1000 professional subscribers and played a crucial role in high-impact virtual events that drew over 1000 industry signups in six months. South Bend Wood Works was a family owned business dedicated to creating wooden toys, home goods, and other family oriented wooden products. I was challenged with fixing their social media so that it would be more consistent and reach more people to pull into their sales funnel. They had hired a "content mill" social media company prior who bought their followers + posted content that was not gaining results - thus I was tasked with reversing the damage.

The Impact

I refined the target market for South Bend Woodworks, ensuring that every post was purposeful, informative, and aligned with their branding. In the first three months, I successfully increased their reach by 91.6% through a robust hashtag strategy and reels consultations, while also boosting their engagement rate by 203%. This strategic approach propelled South Bend Woodworks to the #1 spot in their category on Etsy. As a result of these achievements, I was tasked with managing email marketing campaigns aimed at retargeting Etsy leads and directing them to their e-commerce website.
